Dear Graham,

I just wanted to share with you a little story about one of your TLC bears.

Our renal patients come to us on a regular basis and have blood tests most times. One little girl took a green bear home with her one day. On her next visit she bought the bear with her and teddy had the test first then her. This particular little girl was very upset each time she needed a blood test and having the bear with her really helped her. One day she forgot the bear and I kept him safe until her next visit. She thought she had lost him and was so pleased to have him back. He still comes with her on every visit and is very much loved and gives her a means of coping with her blood tests.

We continue to be so pleased with the bears and would like to use this opportunity to thank you so much for your continued generosity. They are making a difference to our patients and when they leave with a smile on their faces it is such a joy.

They are a perfect size for little arms to cuddle and have such sweet faces. Having six different coloured bears for the children to choose which one to take home with them is so nice too. Leaving our department with a smile on their face and a teddy to cuddle what more could we ask for?

Yours with gratitude,
Debbie Weightman (Nursery Nurse)
