TLC at the Moorgreen Show

moorgreenOn Sunday and Monday 28th /29th August the Provincial Pavilion (Neil's big tent) was at the Moorgreen Show; this was the latest outing for the  Pavilion this year, before rounding up our season with the Southwell Ploughing Match on the 24th September and finally the Robin Hood County Show (Newark) later in the year.

We have been actively promoting Freemasonry and talking to a lot of people who were pleasantly surprised to see us in public.

TLC have been supporting this endeavour, as one of the main charities, and the committee members have been active at the shows - where we have sold badges; bears; car stickers and also run raffles.

Our other attraction has been our 'Bean Bag Bear Game' where all and sundry are challenged to try to score the highest total for eight throws of the bean bags. We have had scores of 150 with 6 consecutive throws of 25 by a young lady at Newark , but at Moorgreen the best that was managed was a score of 75, and Ellie Baguley of Mapperley went home with the first prize of one of our bears, much to her delight. Presenting the bear is Chris Smith of the Radcliffe Lodge.

David James, Graham Osborne , Frank Noonan, Graham Riche, have all attended shows along with Neil, Steve, Chris Bromley, Frank, Dave, Lee, and a number of others - most accompanied by their wives, making these shows a family day out and all for a good cause.
