tlc-childrens-burns-unitThe QMC Hospital has just opened a new 5 bed 'Burns and Plastics Unit' for children aged 8 months to 2 ½ years. This new unit ensures a fast response for children across the whole of Nottinghamshire.

Following contact from the unit TLC was delighted to make their first delivery of bears. David James, who looks after distribution of bears to the various units at QMC was accompanied by Chris Burbanks a fellow TLC committee member. They met with Tamesha Henry from the unit who explained the important work they do caring for children with severe burns. She explained that one of the most common and serious cases they deal with is to children who pick up their mothers hot hair straighteners!
