Teddies to the Rescue

Committee member, David James, was approached by a member of staff on the Children's Oncology ward at the QMC regarding a toy storage problem. Apparently their unit had moved ward location and the new location did not have secure storage for the many toys, often donated by grateful parents.

TLC agreed to purchase two lockable storage units to meet their needs. Following contact with the supplier, Galt Educational, they agreed to a generous discount as the units were for a children's cancer ward.

Shaz Aktar, a play specialist, who made the original request was delighted to take delivery of the units which were just what the ward needed!
